Let Your Holidays Glow Safely with Candle Lamps
Candles are thought to be some of the first ornaments on Christmas trees. It is believed that in the early 16th century, Martin Luther introduced the idea of decorating the Christmas tree with candles to show his children how stars twinkled through the night.
Many other accounts mention candles being used as ornaments, as lovely as they are though, we now realize how unsafe it is to place candles on our trees.
Christmas lights are certainly lovely, but if you'd like something even more candle-like to decorate with this holiday season, without the dangers that candles present, consider using candle lamps.
A lovely electrical lamp can be placed in a Christmas scene, in a window to greet your holiday guests, and sometimes even in a tree as an ornament. You'll get that soft glow without the fire.
While it is much safer to decorate with lamps than it is with candles, make sure you don't forget to unplug your lamp when it's not in use in case it gets overheated. Here's to a safe and glowing holiday season!
